Ich persönlich bin ein großer Fan dieser traditionsreichen englischen Rahmen. Die Präzision, mit der im kleinen Ilkeston Werk die Teamrahmen mit den legendären SBDU Nummer gefertigt wurden, faszinieren mich einfach. Normalerweise kennt man die Rahmen mit der typischen roten Lackierung und ihren gelben Decals. Sie wurden aber auch in anderen Farben angeboten. Dieser Rahmen hier ist in einem ganz dunklen blau lackiert und harmoniert mit dem vielen Chrom optisch ganz wunderbar. Technisch braucht man zu einem Rahmen aus Reynolds 531 Professionell Rohrsatz aus dem Hause wohl kaum noch etwas zu sagen. Nicht umsonst sind so viele Jahre professionelle Teams auf dem Material aus dem Ilkeston Werk erfolgreich unterwegs gewesen. Die Verarbeitung und die Qualität des Rahmenbaus sind einfach Spitze. Der sogenannte "Fastback" Hinterbau mit seiner perfekten Sattelklemmung und der absolut bündig abschließenden Schraube sind schon ein Hingucker. Der Rahmen ist in einem hervorragenden Zustand. Sowohl das Lackbild als auch der Rahmen. Der Chrom kann man als perfekt bezeichnen. Der Rahmen trägt die Nummer SB 7738 und ist damals auf Maß, extra mit Ösen an den Ausfallenden und ohne Anlötsockel für den Umwerfer in Auftrag gegeben worden.

Aufgebaut ist das Rad mit der einer kompletten Campagnolo Super Record Gruppe im neuwertigen Zustand. Ich denke, die Bilder verdeutlichen dies. Auch zu Campagnolos top Gruppe braucht man wohl kaum noch Worte zu verlieren. Besser ging zu der Zeit nicht. Weitere Highlights sind sicher auch der gravierte Cinelli Vorbau, der zeitliche passende originale Rolls Sattel sowie die sehr wenig gefahrenen Mavic GP4 Felgen in Campa Record Naben.

Das Rad ist komplett im originalen Auslieferungszustand. Selbst die originalen Campagnolo Außenhüllen sind erhalten - eine wirklich klasse Rennmaschine für jeden Sammler besonderer Räder.

Das perfekte Rad für die L´Eroica!

Personally, I am a big fan of these traditional English frames. The precision with which the team frames with the legendary SBDU number were made in the small Ilkeston factory simply fascinates me. Normally you know the frames with the typical red paintwork and their yellow decals. But they were also offered in other colours. This frame is painted in a very dark blue and harmonises very well with the chrome. Technically, there is hardly anything left to say about a frame made of Reynolds 531 Professional tubing. It is not for nothing that professional teams have been riding successfully on material from the Ilkeston factory for so many years. The workmanship and quality of the frame construction are simply top notch. The so-called "fastback" rear end with its perfect saddle clamping and the absolutely flush bolt are already an eye-catcher. The frame is in excellent condition. Both the paintwork and the frame. The chrome can be described as perfect. The frame is numbered SB 7738 and was made to measure at the time, with extra eyelets at the dropouts and without a braze-on socket for the front derailleur.

The bike is assembled with a complete Campagnolo Super Record groupset in mint condition. I think the pictures make this clear. There is hardly any need to say anything about Campagnolo's top groupset. It couldn't have been better at the time. Other highlights are the engraved Cinelli stem, the period matching original Rolls saddle and the very little used Mavic GP4 rims in Campa Record hubs.

The bike is completely in original delivery condition. Even the original Campagnolo outer shells have been preserved - a really great racing machine for any collector of special bikes.
