Raleigh SBDU Titan 1996 Shimano Dura Ace

Dieses Raleigh ist ein wirklich besonderes Rad, von dem gerade in Deutschland sicher nicht viele zu finden sind. Es wurde 1996 für einen damals großen Radladen im Kölner Raum auf Wunsch für eine Messe gefertigt. Der Rahmen wurde von Clive Hodgson im Raleigh Special Product Divison Werk gebaut. Das originale Zertifikat mit eingeklebten Passbild und die Garantiekarte gehört zum Rad und wird mit veräußert. Titan Rahmen von Raleigh, die in UK gebaut wurden sind sehr sehr selten. Die Firma bezog später Titan Rahmen aus den USA, die wahrscheinlich bei Merlin gefertig wurden. Der Rahmen ist sehr sauber verarbeitet und ein echtes Leichtgewicht. Farblich mag ich persönlich diesen Wekstoff in seinem natürlichen Ton sehr gerne. Solche Titan Räder sehen einfach sehr elegant aus. Aufgebaut ist dieser Klassiker mit einer Shimano Dura Ace Gruppe. Diese ist ja eigentlich schon das non plus ultra, wurde aber an einigen Stellen noch "getuned". Die deutsche Schmiede Strock arbeitet gerade Mitte der Neunziger an extrem leichten Carbon Parts. Die Kurbel, eine sogenannte "Powerarms" kommt aus dem Sortiment. Das Gewicht ist einfach der Wahnsinn. Die Kurbel ist aber nicht nur besonders leicht, sondern auch steif und "fahrbar". Auch der Sattel an diesem Rad ist eine Besonderheit. Der Selle Italie Flite in der Carbon Version ist heute auch nicht mehr so einfach zu finden. Ein 3ttt Titan Vorbau neue Veloflex Master Reifen auf besten Mavic Open S.U.B Felgen und alle Parts im neuwertigen Zustand runden dieses echte Sammlerstück ab.

This Raleigh is a really special one. It was made in 1996 for a then large bicycle shop in the Cologne area for a trade fair. The frame was built by Clive Hodgson in the Raleigh Special Product Division factory. The original certificate with passport photo and the warranty card is part of the bike and will be sold with it. Raleigh titanium frames built in the UK are very rare. The company later purchased titanium frames from the USA, which were probably made by Merlin. The frame is very clean and lightweight. Personally I like this material in its natural colour very much. Such titanium bikes simply look very elegant. This classic is built with a Shimano Dura Ace group. This is actually already the non plus ultra, but was tuned in some places still The German blacksmith Strock works just in the middle of the nineties on extremely light carbon parts. The crank, a so-called "Powerarms" comes from the assortment. The weight is simply amazing. The crank is not only very light, but also stiff and "drivable". Also the saddle on this bike is a special feature. The Selle Italie Flite in the carbon version is not so easy to find anymore. A 3ttt titanium stem new Veloflex Master tire on best Mavic Open S.U.B rims and all parts in mint condition complete this real collector's item.
