What makes a Masi "Prestige" so special?
For the classic road bike enthusiast, a Masi "Prestige" is one of the most famous and sought after bikes of Italian origin anywhere. Its creator, Alberto Masi, built a monument to himself in the mid-70s by designing this frame, unquestionably continuing the family tradition established by his father Faliero.
Alberto Masi drew the frame as an uncompromising racing frame, with fine proportions, quite with comfort features. Hard to beat is the detailing, which is particularly at the upper saddle brace their craftsmanship crowning. You can hardly build a frame more beautifully! Alberto Masi's workshop is located in the recently renovated Antonio Maspes velodrome in Milan. Here the old master can be found almost daily - a worthwhile pilgrimage. This bike here is in its original state of equipment. It was ridden little by the previous owner and always treated with care. The paint - a great metallic midnight blue - is subtle and harmonizes well with Masi's typical yellow accents. The bike is of course built with the best Campagnolo Super Record components, all of which are in top condition and reflect the careful treatment of the entire bike. The Cinelli Unicanitor saddle and the beautiful Cinelli cockpit are also in top condition. The wheelset with classy Campagnolo Record high flange hubs and Mavic GP4 rims is also just minimally braked. Overall a beautiful and above all original overall condition.
If you're looking for a gorgeous classic from the Italian master, you'll find your bike here. Alberto Masi wheels in this condition are rather rare, if the paint and all parts are then still original, this is truly exceptional. An absolute dream bike.
