Ernesto Colnago brachte 1983 den ersten Master Rahmen als neues Spitzenmodell auf den Markt.Ab ´83 würde er in fünf verschiedenen Variationen gebaut. (Master 1983, Master Più 1988, Master Olympic 1991, Master Light 1994 and Master X-Light 1998). Auch heute hat Colnago wieder einen Master aus Stahl im Programm.Der Master löste ´83 den bis dato führenden "Super" ab. Besonders bahnbrechend war der nun nicht mehr runde, sondern kantige "Gilco" Rohrsatz. Ernesto Colnago war und ist immer wieder für eigenes Design und neue Wege bekannt. Gilco ist eine Abkürzung, welche für Gilberto Colombo steht. Gilberto Colombo war ein italienischer Designer und hat Designs für Autos, Segelboote und Häuser entworfen. Zudem soll die Form des Rohres zu einer besseren Stabilität / Steifheit des Rahmens beitragen.

Dieser Master Piu hier, stammt ca aus dem Jahre 1990, ist in einem schönen, originalen Zustand. Der Rahmen ist im typischen "Ferrari- rot" lackiert. Er wurde aus dem berühmten Columbus Gilco S4 Rahmen gelötet. Dieser "sternförmige Rohrsatz wurde von Gilberto Colombo für mehr Steifigkeit und bessere Aerodynamik entworfen und machte den Master Rahmen so besonders und legendär. Die wunderschöne Chromgabel, befindet sich ebenfalls in einem sehr guten Zustand.

Aufgebaut ist dieser Edelklassiker mit einer nahezu vollständigen Campagnolo Record Gruppe inkl. der edlen Cobalto Bremsen. Der schöne Campagnolo Vento Laufradsatz hat kaum Spuren vom Bremsen, es handelt sich um die Drahtreifen - Variante. Ein tolles Cinelli Cockpit, der Teamsattel und beste Veloflex Record Reifen runden diesen Klassiker.

Dieser traumhafte Colnago Master kann auch heute noch als Sportgerät gesehen werden. Nicht umsonst bietet Colnago diesen Stahlrahmen nach wie vor an. Der Neupreis des nackten Rahmens liegt aktuell bei ca. 2300€.

Colnago Master - The Legend

Ernesto Colnago launched the first Master frame in 1983 as a new top-of-the-range model, and from '83 it would be built in five different variations. (Master 1983, Master Più 1988, Master Olympic 1991, Master Light 1994 and Master X-Light 1998) Today Colnago continues to offer the Master in steel, replacing the leading Super in 83. A particularly groundbreaking feature was the "Gilco" tube set, which is now angular rather than round. Ernesto Colnago was and still is known for his own design and new ways. Gilco is an abbreviation which stands for Gilberto Colombo. Gilberto Colombo was an Italian designer and has created designs for cars, sailing boats and houses. Furthermore the shape of the tube should contribute to a better stability / stiffness of the frame.

This Master Piu here, dates from about 1990, is in a nice, original condition. The frame is painted in typical "Ferrari red". It was soldered from the famous Columbus Gilco S4 frame. This "star-shaped tube set was designed by Gilberto Colombo for more stiffness and better aerodynamics and made the Master frame so special and legendary. The beautiful chrome fork, is also in very good condition.

This classic bike is built up with an almost complete Campagnolo Record group including the noble Cobalto brakes. The beautiful Campagnolo Vento wheelset has hardly any traces of braking, it is the clincher version. A great Cinelli cockpit, the team saddle and the best Veloflex Record tyres complete this classic.

This dreamlike Colnago Master can still be seen as a piece of sports equipment today. Not for nothing Colnago still offers this steel frame. The new price of the bare frame is currently around 2300€.
