Bianchi ist das älteste noch existierende Fahrradunternehmen der Welt, das 1885 von Eduardo Bianchi in Mailand, Italien, gegründet wurde. Mit dem Namen und dem typischen "Celeste" verbindet wohl jeder, der den Radsport und alte Rennmaschinen liebt, etwas.
In der gesamten 135-jährigen Geschichte von Bianchi stellen die Namen "Campione del mondo" und etwas später dann die "Specialissima" Modelle den Höhepunkt der Straßenmaschinen-Legende dar. Die "Specialissima" Rahmen wurde Ende der 1950er Jahre als Nachfolger des berühmten Modells "Campione del mondo" eingeführt und ist bis heute Bianchis Topmodell.

Anfang der 1970er Jahre kehrte Bianchi als Hauptsponsor des Bianchi-Campagnolo-Teams in das Profi-Peloton zurück. Die Mannschaft war die Fortsetzung der Mannschaft Salvarani unter der Leitung von Vittorio Adorni, dem Sieger des Giro d'Italia von 1965 und Weltmeister von 1968. Die Mannschaft Bianchi-Campagnolo war damals eine der stärksten Mannschaften mit den Weltmeistern Marino Basso und Felice Gimondi 1972 und 1973 an Bord.
Das hier vorgestellte Rad stammt aus dem Jahre 1977 und ist einer dieser tollen Campione del Mondo 12V Rahmen. Nicht ganz so leicht wie die Specialissima Modelle, aber dennoch wunderschön gebaut. Der Rahmen wurde vom Vorbesitzer in Italien neu lackiert. Der Farbton und die Lackierung passen sehr gut. Aufgebaut wurde das Rad dann mit einer Campagnolo Super Record Gruppe, die eigentlich eher dem Specialissima Modellen vorbehalten war. Der Laufradsatz mit den edlen Mavic Felgen und Campagnolo Record Naben ist neuwertig. Der seltene 3ttt Ledersattel ist in über 40 Jahren kaum gefahren worden. Auch das 3ttt Cockpit mit dem Superleggero Lenker passt eher an ein Specialissima. Alle Anbauteile sind in einem tollen Zustand und passen wunderbar an diesen liebevoll restaurierten Rahmen.
Dieser Klassiker ist zum Fahren fast zu schade. Sollten sie es doch einmal machen, werden alle anderen Radfahrer ihnen wohl anerkennende Blicke zuwerfen.

Bianchi Campione del Mondo 12V ~ 1977 - Campagnolo Super Record

Bianchi is the oldest still existing bicycle company in the world, founded in 1885 by Eduardo Bianchi in Milan, Italy. The name and the typical "Celeste" probably have something in common for everyone who loves cycling and old racing bikes.

Throughout Bianchi's 135-year history, the names "Campione del mondo" and, a little later, the "Specialissima" models represent the pinnacle of the road bike legend. The "Specialissima" frame was introduced at the end of the 1950s as the successor to the famous "Campione del mondo" model and is still Bianchi's top model today.

In the early 1970s Bianchi returned to the professional peloton as the main sponsor of the Bianchi Campagnolo team. The team was the continuation of the Salvarani team led by Vittorio Adorni, winner of the Giro d'Italia in 1965 and World Champion in 1968. The Bianchi-Campagnolo team was one of the strongest teams at the time, with World Champions Marino Basso and Felice Gimondi on board in 1972 and 1973.

The bike presented here dates back to 1977 and is one of those great Campione del Mondo 12V frames. Not quite as light as the Specialissima models, but still beautifully built. The frame was repainted by the previous owner in Italy. The color and the paint scheme fit very well. The bike was then built with a Campagnolo Super Record group, which was actually reserved for the Specialissima models. The wheel set with the noble Mavic rims and Campagnolo Record hubs is as good as new. The rare 3ttt leather saddle has hardly been ridden in over 40 years. Also the 3ttt cockpit with the Superleggero handlebars fits more to a Specialissima. All add-on parts are in great condition and fit perfectly on this lovingly restored frame.

This classic bike is almost too good to ride. If you do, all the other cyclists will probably give you some appreciative looks.
